This series of workshops combines art history with hands-on exploration in mixed media and collage. Each session introduces the work of a woman artist who incorporated collage into her practice, offering inspiration as you develop your own artistic voice. In this workshop, we’ll focus on Sonia Delaunay, whose vibrant, abstract compositions were influenced by the traditional quilts she encountered in her Russian childhood. A prolific and innovative artist, Delaunay expanded her creativity beyond painting and collage into fashion, interior design, graphic arts, book illustration, and decorative arts.
