For my recent publication, Dandelions, I created 20 special edition collage covers featuring the shape of a house to represent my mom's eternal and unsolvable request to go home again and to stand in for all the homes we walked by on our neighborhood walks. I made painted paper dandelions, my mom's favorite flowers on our walks. In the windows of the houses, one window is made of a square of silk cut from my mom's shirt - one of the only items of clothing she had with her when my parent's house burned down. It's a soft spot on the cover of these books and feels nice to touch. As part of the process, I made extra collages so I have five additional collages to offer. Each is a unique, signed 5 x 7 piece on 140lb watercolor paper.
