This workshop combines art history with hands-on exploration in mixed media and collage. In this workshop, we’ll focus on Sonia Delaunay, whose vibrant, abstract compositions were influenced by the traditional quilts she encountered in her Russian childhood. A prolific and innovative artist, Delaunay expanded her creativity beyond painting and collage into fashion, interior design, graphic arts, book illustration, and decorative arts.
